RADON
TESTING
|
Radon is a naturally
occurring colorless, odorless, and tasteless radioactive gas that is caused by
the breakdown (radioactive decay) of uranium in the earth's soil. Radon gas
migrates through the soil and into our homes at all times. Radon presents a
health risk when unacceptable levels are found in our homes and are inhaled for
prolonged periods. The EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes
for radon. |

Our inspectors are required
to become Certified by the PA Department of Environmental Protection to place
radon tests during the course of the inspection. All tests are conducted in
accordance with the PA-DEP protocols and quality assurance guidelines. After a
minimum of 48 hours the test is analyzed and the results are quickly available.
The lab is a test only firm to avoid any conflict of interest. |
